The Dobell Art Foundation supports the MCA’s C3West, a program that brings artists and communities together to create art which directly responds to local concerns in Greater Sydney.
Artist-led projects that are genuinely collaborative and socially engaged are a hallmark of the program.
In 2026, the Foundation supported Bonnie Huang: Dare to Dream, a powerful new art project developed in association with ACON.
Bonnie Huang: Dare to Dream is a new art project developed through the MCA’s C3West program and delivered in partnership with ACON.
Through workshops and community engagement artist Bonnie Huang is working side-by-side with participants to co-create large-scale artworks that reflect their lived experiences, aspirations, and rich cultural identities.
This initiative brings together culturally and linguistically diverse LGBTQ+ communities in Western Sydney, creating space for storytelling, self-expression, and collective creativity.
C3West partners with local organisations and businesses to identify areas of need, developing artist-led projects that are genuinely collaborative and socially engaged.
